Repeat Prescriptions

If agreed by the doctor you may have repeat prescriptions. You can do this by dropping the tear slip off your last prescription and indicating by a tick the medication you require on repeat. Please drop your repeat prescriptions in the box at reception, there is no need to ring the bell

Alternatively you can fax or post your repeat prescriptions. You can also order your prescritions on line. Prescriptions will only be taken over the telephone if you fall into the following category:-

• Elderley/Housebound
• You have run out of medication and are asthmatic/diabetic etc
• Any other genuine emergency

Your prescription can be collected from the practice between 8:30am and 6:00pm. Please note that the surgery is closed between 12:30 and 1:30pm

Please allow 48 hours before collecting your prescription, this does not include weekends. Allow four days for delivery.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
