The Gables Surgery currently has a Patient Participation Group that meets at the surgery every three months. The surgery is aware that it may be difficult for people to attend these meetings face to face and so proposes to create a virtual Patient Participation Group (run by email contact). The surgery wants to ensure the best representation for the PPG so will be running a face to face and a virtual PPG. New members are welcome.
The areas that are covered by the Group are:
1. patients priorities and issues including themes from complaints.
2. planned practice changes
3. Care Quality Commission (CQC) related issues
4. National GP patient survey issues.
The first step of the virtual PPG is to plan our annual survey and to ensure we ask the right questions, we would like to know what you think should be our key priorities when it comes to looking at the services we provide to you and others in the practice.
What do you think are the most important issues on which we should consult our patients?
For examples which of the following do you think we should focus on:
Clinical Care
Getting an appointment
Reception issues
Opening times
Parking etc.
In the first instance, we would like to invite people to send their name, email address, age and ethnicity, to the contact us (see above) email address, if you would like to participate in the virtual Patient Participation Group.
WE ARE LISTENING AND
WE WANT TO IMPROVE THE SERVICE THE PRACTICE OFFERS
