- Our local pharmacists are excellent. They can help with many medication problems and with treatments for minor illnesses. They will be happy to help you if you are not sure that you need a doctor
- The Health Visitors can help you with concerns about young children
- NHS Direct is a 24 hour helpline that provides advice from experienced Nurses on any health problem (0845 4647)
- Accidents. The surgery is not able to deal with many injuries or accidents. Patients with lacerations that need stitching, injuries that may need an x-ray and injuries from accidents should attend the Accident & Emergency department at the hospital. To alleviate casualty waiting times please use St Georges Minor Injury Unit (Middleton) – they deal with cuts, sprains, grazes, scalds, burns, fractures. Please attend instead of Leeds casualty you will usually be seen a lot quicker.
